Premises

The GamesLab is located in the N building on N5.216 and is a room provided by the ZIM of Paderborn University for joint learning and teaching in the field of video game development. Together with the VRLab branch, the GamesLab offers almost 35 workstations equipped with the necessary software and hardware.

Social space

In the GamesLab living room, there is space for team meetings, creative music or development sessions, as well as for game nights. A good atmosphere is important to us, as we want to get complex projects off the ground together - and sometimes a break on the sofa is good for that.

Workstations and equipment

With the expansion into the VRLab, up to 35 computer workstations are available to students for the main GamesLab course. Here, students can work with graphics tablets or hardware for VR development. And with "GLAudio", the GamesLab audio corner, there is also a small muted recording booth with various DAWs available.

Collaborative workspace

The GamesLab is designed in such a way that we can use different sections of the room on a modular basis. The room layout and mobile partitions allow us to create a productive room layout during the main seminar and workshops. There is a separate conference area and a large presentation area at the front.
