As part of the university's 40th anniversary, the GamesLab Paderborn team developed the “Uniwalk” with the support of the Chancellor and the Executive Board. The “Uniwalk” shows the University of Paderborn as a unique virtual university that can be walked through in the browser. The innovative concept is particularly interesting for first-year students who can use the “Uniwalk” to orient themselves and find out more about the university from home. But the “Uniwalk” also offers employees of the University of Paderborn the opportunity to create interactive presentation areas for their projects. A shortcut of multimedia content is just as possible here as the embedding of current information and the use of playful elements.

Urban Life 2060 is a browser based MMOG. A variety of science fiction elements paint a realistic picture of city life in the year 2060.

The player takes on the role of a newcomer to the Urban Life City. Together with friends, he has the unique opportunity to help shape a city according to his own ideas and wishes.

Politworld is an educational game that is specifically designed for use in school lessons for the 8th/9th grade. The idea of ​​Politworld combines classic approaches from planning and simulation games as well as elements from current strategy games in order to make political events and systems as well as the complexity of international relations tangible for students.

Thanks to its thematically modular structure, Politworld can be used variably in terms of both time and content and can therefore be used in lessons as well as during project days or weeks. The game is accompanied by a teaching script designed specifically for this purpose, which provides material for an entire series of lessons. On the one hand, this script is intended to deepen the knowledge acquired in the game, but at the same time it encourages students to find out more about the topic of politics in order to be able to use this knowledge profitably in the game.

The aim of Politworld is to give students a challenging and contemporary access to the knowledge area of ​​politics and political systems using the medium of computer games.
